Events
What kind of events do we run?
Throughout the year, we aim to hold our usual social event every two months where pups, littles and all other creatures are welcome to come and chill out, socialise and take part in a range of fun games and activities. Throughout the year mixed in we run other events too – pups in the park, bark on the beach, and of course the annual camping trip!
Unless otherwise stated, Paws events are generally SFW in nature.
Is there a dress code?
As Paws events are SFW unless otherwise stated, we ask that you keep your outfit SFW too.
How can I see what events are planned?
Check out the calendar here for upcoming events and RSVP if you’d like to come along!
Camping
What happens at camping?
See the events page for details on what we have planned for this year 🙂
What facilities are available?
There will be toilets and showers on site available for everyone to use. You will need to bring your own toiletries.
Dinners and breakfasts will be available (prebooked) from catering on site, along with some drink and snack options during the day.
Biscuits bar will be returning come the evenings!
Power will be available to use freely during the day/evenings within the main marquees to charge your devices, inflate airbeds etc.
There is no drinking water available on tap – so please bring drinking water with you.
What kind of campsite is it?
Paws Camping is run from a secluded private location – we are not sharing a campsite with the general public. For 2024, we are returning to the large field in Redhill.
Can I park my car next to my tent?
You will be able to drive your car down to the camping area to drop off your things, but it will have to be parked in the designated parking area after that.
Are campervans, motorhomes or caravans catered for?
Campervans and motorhomes can be brought on site with prior arrangement – please let us know what you are planning to arrive in beforehand. We will have a dedicated area for those in campers etc.
Once pitched up, if you would like to leave/return to the site in your vehicle, please let an admin know.
Unfortunately, the venue does not allow caravans on site.
Is there power available to the camping area?
Unfortunately not – however there will be power available in the marquees and a dedicated area for charging your devices that is free to use during the day.
Can I use my own generator?
No – portable fuel (petrol or diesel etc) driven generators are not permitted in the camping area or elsewhere.
You are welcome to use battery powered power banks or similar. These can be recharged in the marquees during the day too.
Where is the campsite?
The campsite will again be located in Redhill for August 2024. The exact address will be made available to you privately on purchasing your tickets.
Are there shops close by?
Yes – their is a corner shop located relatively close by, and the town of Redhill is not much further away and available via a short drive or bus.
Is food available?
Yes – please see the event page for further details.
Evening meals and breakfast can be prebooked to enjoy from our onsite catering, with some drink and snack options available during the day.
There is no drinking water available on tap – so please bring drinking water with you.
What can I wear?
While the field is relatively secluded, the venue owner itself does not permit nudity in the open so we ask that you keep your outfits SFW.
Is the ticket price per tent or per person?
Ticket prices are per person. The ticket price is to cover the cost of the venue, facilities hire, and other associated costs of running this event.
What do I need to bring with me?
If you haven’t been camping before, this is a general idea of what to start with:
- Tent
- Chair
- Sleeping bag
- Torch or lantern
- Batteries/power bank
- Clothes & Gear
- Cutlery, plates and cup
- Cooking equipment
- Food and water
- Toiletries and towels
- Toilet roll
- Suncream & After Sun
- Rubbish bags
If you don’t have a tent, you may be able to borrow one from Paws with a small deposit.
Are there NSFW areas?
This is dependant on the venue for any given year – check the Telegram group for further info about this.
What happens in your own tent is however up to you – please be mindful of your neighbours 🙂
How do I get to the campsite?
If you are coming via public transport, we will be running pickup services from Redhill train station.
Access by car is straightforward and details will be posted in the group chat.
Is there a curfew?
No. However…
Music in the main marquees will be turned off around midnight, and the generators stopped sometime thereafter.
After that, we ask that you keep noise to a minimum. If you want to stay up longer chatting, there will be an area left open away from the tents for you to do so.
While we have the field to ourselves, there are some homes nearby including the farm house. Noise travels over the lake and we do not want to upset the owner. Please be respectful of this if we ask you to keep your noise down.
Can I have my tent next to my friend?
Tent spots will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
If you want to have your tent next to your friends, it would be best to try and arrive at the same time. Otherwise, if one of you arrives before the other, you are welcome to wait for the others to arrive.
What is the mobile signal like?
We suggest checking coverage for your provider, however being a rural area – it generally isn’t great. For 2024, we will have WiFi available on a voucher system if you want some better connectivity 🙂
